We were invited to join our South African playgroup in Pioneer Park in Naperville for a picnic. Initially we declined due to all the work we were going to do on the deck but when we found out it was going to rain later in the day we could not paint so we went to the picnic. It was really hot (90F+) but the shade next to the river seemed to make it bearable. The kids had a lot of fun playing with bubble blowing cars and beach balls.

Hello again…

Not sure it really makes sense to post this since I go back in time and magically bring the blog up to date every so often, but I know it has been almost a month since I last posted something… Lets just say I have been a little busy - working and then needing time away from the computer, so blogging has been pushed to the back burner… Well I am back now, so enjoy !

Finally ! After a few false starts with cool and warm days getting all mixed up we have finally made it to summer and Cezanne is so pleased ! She loves playing outside and it was just so hot today that we decided to fill up an old sandpit with water and let the kids cool off. This was also Etienne’s first “swim” - check his blog for his photos - Cezanne is looking forward to many more days playing outside !!

The spring 2010 presentation at Cezanne’s school had an animal / zoo theme. I was away again and missing it - do they have to always do them on Wednesday ? Lanelle did the best she could with photos / videos while also trying to hold / tame Etienne.

Party Season is in full swing, strange how most birthday parties happen in the spring & summer ??

Leila, one of the girls in both Cezanne’s school class and gymnastics class had her 4th Birthday Party at Kids Town. The girls had a lot of fun running around, dressing up and playing pretend.

Just another day at home playing with my “Retro” Fisher Price Play Family Village. Lanelle felt that Cezanne ( and not Etienne ) just had to have this since she so enjoyed playing with her “Dorpie” ( Town ). She found it on eBay ( you can really find anything on eBay ).

She is doing well with the sharing and is getting used to Etienne’s eagerness to play with everything that she is playing with…
