France 2007: Carpentras & Meringue
September 12, 2007 by Dad.
After a trip into the town of Carpentras to try find the famous Berlingot “museum” we stopped to get some bread and just had to try the local meringue. Cezanne just had to try the white delight and seems to have enjoyed it - she did offer to “share” and ended up feeding me what was left…
One more thing we learned about Cezanne is that she loves to play with stones and she found the stones outside our farmhouse just irresistible… Here she scooped up handful after handful and then poured them into which ever “sucker” was willing to play “bucket”.

France 2007: Orange
September 11, 2007 by Dad.
First stop during the vacation in the south of France was the town of Orange which is famous for the Théatre Antique d’Orange which is an ancient Roman Theatre that has survived almost 2000 years. It was a very windy day and Cezanne was almost blown off her feet a few times.

|
Cezanne was very busy and it took all 4 of us (Ouma, Celeste, Mom & Dad) to keep an eye on her and keep her from falling down the many steps.

“More Please…” |
After the Roman Theatre we went on to the Triumphal Arch (Arc de Triomphe) of Orange was built during the first century to as a tribute to Augusta. This Roman Arch is a masterpiece of architecture and sculpture. Smaller than its Paris counterpart the Arc de Triomphe of Orange is no less a work of art.

Another New Original Cezanne
September 7, 2007 by Dad.
The new Cezanne released another creation today. This one also remains untitled but shows growth in areas of brush stroke strength and color selection.
The art world holds it’s breath…
