Fancy Red Wagon

Cezanne got a fancy red wagon for her birthday and she spent the first day or two just figuring out how to get in and out of it. She needed little help from either of us and was very impressed with herself when she got the door to open and close and could get in and out and in and out and in and out…
The wagon stand at the front door and now we are often told, in no uncertain terms that it is time to go to the park in the fancy red wagon. Lots of chatter, finger wagging and facial expressions are the means of communication. We get the message most of the time

Backyard Swimming

After a long hot day there is no better way to cool off than to go for a swim in the pool. Yes we now have a pool in our backyard !
Nothing fancy mind you, just a 12 - 18 inch deep, bright orange inflatable that actually belongs to Cezanne, but I am forced to have to get in and swim with Cezanne when she wants to swim. Here are a few photos from such a swim…

My Ball Pit

After seeing how much fun Cezanne had in her friend’s ball pits we decided that she should also have one to play in. We also needed something to put her in that would keep her busy while we got ready to go out so it now stand next to the breakfast area. As you can tell by the photos below, she really loves her ball pit !

4th July - Botanical Gardens

We were looking for something to do on the 4th and found that the Chicago Botanic Gardens were open so we all jumped in the car and headed off for a stroll through these beautiful gardens just north of downtown Chicago.
