Ouma & Oupa Arrived
November 29, 2006 by Dad.
Yesterday Ouma & Oupa Cruywagen arrived from South Africa. They have come for Christmas & New Year and of course to meet Cezanne.
After a week in Paris visiting Celeste they “hopped across the pond” to spend time with us here in Chicago.

Rolling Over & Eating Prunes
November 24, 2006 by Dad.
Hello World !
We took a chance and tried prunes with the organic rice cereal this morning and to my amazement Cezanne seemed to love the prunes mixed in. I was not allowed to stop the feeding and we got prune cereal from ear to ear and from chin to forehead.
I also have now posted the “Rolling Over” videos from this morning on the web site - so please do go and check them out. As you know our web site address is : http://www.lambertsatlarge.com/ and if you want a direct link to the video clips from today just click the link (Cezanne : 2006 : Video Clips : Page 10) under Whats New.

Thanksgiving
November 24, 2006 by Dad.
We had a nice quiet Thanksgiving with friends and then today ( the infamous Black Friday - the busiest shopping day in America ) we found that Cezanne is now able to roll over back to front.
Late last night when I went in to check on her she had rolled onto her tummy and was awake lying face down. Then again this morning after Mommy put her to sleep and we tried a morning nap in the crib I found her awake and “playing with” ( translation - eating ) her hat. By the time I was able to call Mommy she had rolled back onto her back.
Now we would just like to see this while we are present and can “oooh” an “aaah” over our little girl’s development ;-)

“Solid” Food
November 21, 2006 by Dad.
Mom decided that today was the day to start on “solid” foods. A little organic rice cereal mixed with fresh “squeezed” breastmilk.
Of course there had to be a Photoshoot !
This is “finger licking good”.
Enough is enough ! Get me outta here !

November 20, 2006 by Dad.
Today we reach another milestone, the 5 month mark. Our little baby is no longer a little baby, she is growing and developing very well. Here are a few photos of her at 5 months.

Home Again !
November 17, 2006 by Dad.
Finally home again after another week away in Florida. The weather was warm, certainly warmer than it was in Chicago, but it is always nice to be home.
Cezanne had to eat, bath and go to bed without Mommy tonight. Mommy went to Dream Dinners with Gillian and so Dad was on duty again tonight, solo !
It was not too bad, but I have to take my hat off to Mom - doing this solo is quite an effort and needs careful planning and coordination.

Sniff Sniff & Sneeze
November 16, 2006 by Dad.
Our poor little baby has a bit of a cold. Maybe the travel, maybe the new surroundings, maybe somebody got too close ?
We have vapor rub, a plug in “thing” to help breathing and saline solution. All these things do seem to have helped but we both feel sorry for the poor little baby.
We hope she will better tomorrow…

Cezanne & Mommy
November 14, 2006 by Dad.
Cezanne has now started reaching for people - as seen below - it is wonderful to pick her up and have her reach out and try grab your nose or feel your face. I just love it !

Florida Fun
November 14, 2006 by Dad.
Having fun on my winter blanket in the hotel room in Florida.
Another show-off shot. Sitting unassisted at 4+ months.
Oh the toys and fun are just so exhausting !!
We do have fun playing with all the toys.
